Men doing ministry with and for men and the community--that's what Men's Ministries is all about. We are about more than the traditional service club, "knife and fork" kind of meetings. Not that those don't have a place. They do, but Men's Ministries is just what its title says: about ministry.
To our Single Parents and Widows, if you are in need of services such as yard cleaning, repairs, ect., the men of Daughter of Zion are here to serve you. Based on our availability, please put your request in or give it to Brother Joseph Bethel. You may use the convenient Contact page on this site to send your request.

MATURE • MENTOR • MINISTER • MAINTAIN • INVESTING IN BLACK FUTURES THRU STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The men of Daughter of Zion Seventh-day Adventist Church are a body of "Servant Leaders" who faithfully minister to the church members, worship and service, the needs of the community and to one another in order to "equip themselves" for service. Prayer, the scriptures and the leading of the Holy Spirit are provided for use in service for the Lord by His disciples. If you are not already of member of the wonderful group of men at Daughter of Zion, please step up and offer the God given abilities that you possess. "All Christians are provided with every need and ability through Jesus Christ."...that is His promise to His followers.
The men of the church need to come away from the men’s ministry gatherings better equipped to serve the church, their families, and each other. “For you have been called to live in freedom—not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love” (Galatians 5:13). Maybe this week you can be a servant leader and "prepare" a meal for someone in need, or repair a porch, or pray with someone and encourage their walk with Christ. It may not look like the same thing someone else is doing, but it is just the same if that is what you are able to offer, you can use your hands to serve people in need. The important detail is prayer for insight and open eyes, an open heart and the Holy Spirit directing your ministry. 1. Practice servant leadership with your eyes: This might be called the ministry of noticing. James 2:15, 16 (NIV) puts it like this: "Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?" 2. Practice servant leadership with your ears: This might be called the ministry of empathizing. James offers this advice to servant leaders: "My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19, NIV). 3. Practice servant leadership with your mouth: Another way that you can be a servant leader today is by using your mouth to practice the ministry of blessing. Again, this is a prevalent theme in the book of James. "If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless" (James 1:26, NIV). 4. Practice servant leadership with your hands: The final way that James calls us to be servant leaders is by putting our hands to work, and practicing the ministry of service. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress" (James 1:27, NIV). Daughter of Zion Men say, "Enough with lip service about servant leadership". It's time to unleash an army of real servant leaders. How? With your eyes--notice the needs of others. With your ears--hear the hurts of people around you. With your mouth--speak words of blessing. And with your hands--serve "the least of these," and you will be among the greatest leaders in the only kingdom that counts.

Without God Without God, man cannot. Without man, God will not. Asking is the rule of His kingdom. When your will has been won by the Son, then you too will win, son. You only will win when your will has been won by the One Who has done through His Son all that sin had undone. When your will has been won by the Son, then you too will win, son.
