Mission Statement:

Daughter of Zion is a congregation of Seventh-day Adventist Christians existing for the purpose of Preparing A People for meaningful and productive lives of service to the Communities of Palm Beach County that when Christ returns they and others reflecting His character will be ready to meet their God.  We seek to Prepare A People through the proclamation of the everlasting gospel, through restoration of the image of God in humanity, as well as His nurturing compassion in the family, and through Ministries of reconciliation to those from God and estranged from society.


Local Church History - Daughter of Zion, Delray Beach
In 1933 a Branch Sabbath School was organized in the home of Charles and Maselina Farrington, Sr. in the little community of Yamato, Florida. Yamato was within the city of Boca Raton, in the area where Boca Tecca is now located. The black population consisted of about thirty-five families (Japanese families also lived in Yamato).

About Seventh-day Adventism
Adventists believe in a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
